POSSIBLE CAUSES
Spark plug is fouled or in poor condition
Spark plug wire is damaged or loose
Intermittent ignition coil failure
Water or dirt in the fuel system and/or
carburetor; dirty or clogged fuel filter
Fuel pump malfunction; fuel pressure to
carburetor too low
Fuel tank is empty
Fuel line or filters clogged
Fouled spark plug
Spark plug wire damaged or loose
Loose wire connection at ignition coil or
RPM limiter
Ignition coil or RPM limiter failed
Engine flooded with fuel as result of
excess choking
Kill circuit grounded
Fuel pump malfunction or failure
Relay failure (key-start vehicle only)
Fan screen is partially blocked or plugged
Governor is improperly adjusted
Carburetor is too lean; check main jet size
Excessive carbon deposits on piston head
or in combustion chamber
Spark plug heat range is incorrect
Unsuitable or contaminated fuel
Exhaust valve is restricted with carbon
deposit
Muffler or exhaust pipe restricted with
carbon or other substance
Ignition coil failed
Air filter is dirty or clogged
Governor is improperly adjusted
