UNITIZED TRANSAXLE
20. Remove screws (1) securing the governor cable bracket to transaxle (Figure 16-32, Page 16-14).
21. Remove screws (1) securing the accelerator cable bracket to transaxle (Figure 16-33, Page 16-14).

22. Remove screws (2) securing the transmission shift cable bracket (1) to transaxle (Figure 16-35,
Page 16-15). See following NOTE.
NOTE: The governor cable and the accelerator cable should remain attached to the governor arm.
23. Remove the six bolts mounting the unitized transaxle to the engine.
23.1. Remove four transaxle mounting bolts and flat washers (one at each corner of the transaxle mount-
ing plate) (Figure 16-34, Page 16-14).
23.2. Remove two middle transaxle mounting nuts from the engine block studs (Figure 16-34,
Page 16-14).
24. Remove leaf springs, stabilizer bar, wheels and brake assemblies from the transaxle.
