Replicating a Group

The Group Replica Place function allows you to automatically apply the
relative placement of parts in one group to another group. This is especially
useful when duplicating the layout of channels in multi-channel PCBs.
This example uses the following design:
Working with the Group Editor
Complete the following steps to replicate the positioning of a group of
parts:
1.
Select Design»Group Replica Place to display the Select Groups for
Replica Place dialog box.
2.
In the Primary Group drop-down list, select the group whose
positioning is to be copied.
3.
In the Group to be Replicated drop-down list select the group whose
positioning you wish to change to match the Primary Group.
4.
Click OK. The dialog closes and the Group to be Replicated (in this
example, group 2) is placed on your cursor in the shape of the
Primary Group.
