disable multinetting

disable multinetting {proprietary | standard}
Description
Disables multinetting in the switch.
Syntax Description
proprietary
standard
Default
If neither keyword is used, then proprietary multinetting is disabled by default.
Usage Guidelines
This command disables proprietary multinetting or standard multinetting in the switch.
Standard multinetting cannot be disabled if there are secondary IP addresses configured in the switch.
Use the following command to enable multinetting:
enable multinetting
Example
The following command disables standard multinetting in the switch:
disable multinetting standard
History
This command was first available in ExtremeWare 2.0.
The proprietary and standard options were made available for this command in ExtremeWare 7.3.0.
Platform Availability
This command is available on all platforms.

Specifies that proprietary multinetting is to be disabled. The proprietary
keyword indicates that multinetting operation is done by creating VLANs with
dummy protocols and associating IP addresses with them. Proprietary
multinetting is the default value.
Specifies that standard multinetting is to be disabled. The standard keyword
indicates that multinetting operation is done by associating multiple IP subnets
with a single VLAN without using dummy-protocol based VLANs.
