enable bgp always-compare-med

enable bgp always-compare-med
Description
Enables BGP to use the Multi Exit Discriminator (MED) from neighbors in different autonomous
systems (ASs) in the route selection algorithm.
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or variables.
Default
Disabled.
Usage Guidelines
MED is only used when comparing paths from the same AS. A MED value of zero is treated as the
lowest MED and therefore the most preferred route.
Example
The following command enables BGP to use the Multi Exit Discriminator (MED) from neighbors in
different autonomous systems in the route selection algorithm:
enable bgp always-compare-med

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 6.1.
