CORRECTIVE ACTION
Check the telephone wire and connections between the ZyXEL Device DSL port
and the wall jack.
Make sure that the telephone company has checked your phone line and set it up
for DSL service.
If the problem persists, contact your ISP.
The ISP provides the WAN IP address after authenticating you. Authentication
may be through the user name and password, the MAC address or the host name.
Make sure you have provided the correct user name and password (if required) in
Network > WAN > Internet Connection. Try spoofing your computer's MAC
address in Network > WAN > Internet Connection. Try using your computer's
host name in Maintenance > System > General, though this requires you to
change your computer's host name to avoid duplication.
If the problem persists, contact your ISP.
Make sure the ZyXEL Device is turned on and connected to the network.
Verify your WAN settings. Refer to the chapter on WAN setup.
Make sure you entered the correct user name and password.
If the problem persists, contact your ISP.
If you use PPPoE encapsulation, check the idle time-out setting. See Network >
WAN > Internet Connection.
If the problem persists, contact your ISP.
