DESCRIPTION
Select PPP over Ethernet.
Enter the service name provided by your ISP. Leave this field blank if your ISP
did not provide one.
Enter the user name provided by your ISP.
Enter the password provided by your ISP.
Enter the password again.
Select this if you want the ZyXEL Device to automatically connect to your ISP
when it is turned on and to remain connected all the time. This is not
recommended if you pay for your Internet connected based on the amount of
time you are connected.
Enter the number of seconds the ZyXEL Device should wait while there is no
Internet traffic before it automatically disconnects from the ISP. Enter a time
interval between 10 and 9999 seconds.
Select this if your ISP did not give you a fixed (static) IP address. Do not enter
anything in the My WAN IP Address field.
Select this if your ISP gave you a fixed (static) IP address.
This field sets this route's priority among the routes the ZyXEL Device uses.
The metric represents the "cost of transmission". A router determines the best
route for transmission by choosing a path with the lowest "cost". RIP routing uses
hop count as the measurement of cost, with a minimum of "1" for directly
connected networks. The number must be between "1" and "15"; a number
greater than "15" means the link is down. The smaller the number, the lower the
"cost".
This field is related to RIP. This field determines whether or not the ZyXEL
Device includes the route to this remote node in its RIP broadcasts. If you select
Yes, this route is not included in RIP broadcast. If you select No, the route to this
remote node is propagated to other hosts through RIP broadcasts. Usually, you
should keep the default value.
Select this if you want the ZyXEL Device to use the MAC address of another
computer, instead of its default MAC address. You might try this if you lose your
Internet connection because some ISPs check the MAC address of the device
connected to the Internet.
If you select Spoof WAN MAC Address, enter the IP address of the computer
whose MAC address you want the ZyXEL Device to use. This is usually a
computer on the LAN.
Click this to save your changes back to the ZyXEL Device.
