Re-enable Alarm Origination

Telnet to the S8300 and log on.

At the command prompt, type
-d b
sets the dialout option to both (numbers)
enables SNMP alarm origination
-s y

Back up the System

Using the Maintenance Web Interface, back up the system as you did before the upgrade selecting Save
Translations and all backup sets.

Restart LSPs (if any)

To restart Communication Manager on the LSP after the upgrade:

Open a Telnet session on the S8300 (LSP).

Telnet to the LSP.

At the command line, type start -ac and press
This completes the upgrade process for a G700 with an S8300.
