Required Information, Tools, and Equipment
To remove and replace a microphone for the Cisco TelePresence 3200, you need the following
information, tools, and equipment:
Tip
Make sure all system power is turned off before beginning this disassembly.
Caution

Removing and Replacing a First Row Microphone

Make sure to retain all screws, brackets, and other parts during the disassembly.
Note
From the back of the Cisco TelePresence 3200, access the audio/video expansion unit.
Step 1
Detach the specific microphone cable from the audio/video expansion unit. Note the location for later

reference.
Remove the microphone cable by pulling it to the right through the various cable management systems.

Take note of how the cable is routed.

Step 6
From the underside of the tabletop, remove the two screws securing the microphone. Retain the screws.

Power screwdriver with 2.5, 3, and 6 mm (standard or round) Allen bits, or standard 2.5, 3, and 6 mm
Allen wrenches
A round-head Allen bit allows the bit to work at an angle instead of only straight out, which is
helpful in tight spots.
Manual screwdrivers, Phillips and flat head types
Metric wrenches, 10 to 15 mm
Masking tape
Laptop computer attached to the network

Loosen, but do not remove, the mounting screws holding the projector assembly to the underside of
the center tabletop.
Remove the projector assembly by sliding the unit to the left and away from the mounting screws.
Alternately, if the fit is too tight to remove in this manner, remove the mounting screws from the
tabletop. Ensure the projector assembly is secured while removing the screws.
