Remove the cable management bar from the codec. Retain the bar and the screws.

Make a note of the MAC address of the new primary codec. The MAC address should be printed on a

sticker on the codec. You configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager to use the new MAC
address in the
Attach the L-brackets and Cable management bar to the replacement codec.

Attach the new codec to the display structure front feet using the screws that you removed in

Turn the codec power switch to the On position.

Reattach the cables according to your temporary masking tape identification.

Attach the cables to the cable management bar using tie wraps.

If the replacement unit was the Primary codec, follow these steps to reset the MAC address in

Cisco Unified Communications Manager:
Open a browser on a computer connected to the network.

Access the Cisco Unified Communications Manager interface.
b.
Change the MAC address for the Primary codec to its new address.
c.
Power on the system by completing the steps in the

Perform the Auto Adjust camera setup procedure. This sets the white balance to the correct levels. See

If you are replacing the primary codec, power it on and complete all steps before powering on the

secondary codecs. This prevents the secondary codecs from being affected by any software and
peripheral upgrades to the primary codec.
