7. Remove the four screws, then remove the rectifier
( A ) a n d f o u r i n s u l a t o r s ( B ) .
Remove the four flange nuts, then remove the rear
h o u s i n g ( A ) a n d w a s h e r ( B ) .

9. lf you are not replacing the front bearing and/or
rear bearing, go to step
'16. Remove the rotor from
the stator drive end housing.
Inspect the rotor shaft for scoring, and inspect the
bearing journal surface in the stator housing for
s e t z u r e m a r k s .
. l f e i t h e r t h e r o t o r o r s t a t o r h o u s i n g i s d a m a g e d ,
replace the alternator,
. lf both the rotor and the stator housing are OK,
g o t o s t e p 1 1 .
