Cam Chain Installation
NOTE: Keep the cam chain away from magnetic fields.
1. Set the crankshaft to top dead center (TDC). Align
the TDC mark {A) on the crankshaft sprocket with
t h e p o i n t e r ( B ) o n t h e c y l i n d e r b l o c k .
Setthe camshafts to TDC. The punch mark (A) on
the variable valve timing control {VTC) actuator and
t h e p u n c h m a r k ( B ) o n t h e e x h a u s t c a m s h a f t
sprocket should be at the top. Align the TDC marks
(C) on the VTC actuator and exhaust camshaft
sprocKet.
