14. Measure voltage between ECM connector terminal
E7 and body ground.

YES Go to step 15.
NO-Update the ECM if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a known-good EClvl, then
recheck (see page 11-6). lf the symptom/indication
goes away with a known-good ECM, replace the
o r i g i n a l E C M . I
Disconnect ECI\4 connector A (31P).
T u r n t h e i g n i t i o n s w i t c h O N ( l l ) .
Measure voltage between body ground and ECIM
c o n n e c t o r t e r m i n a l s 4 3 a n d 4 2 i n d i v i d u a l l y .

YES-Go to step 18.
NO Update the ECM if it does not have the latest

Remove the glove box (see page 20-63).
Remove the PGM-FI main relay '1 {A).
Measure voltage between body ground and ECM
connector terminals A3 and A2 individually.
