Fuel Tank Replacement
R e l i e v e t h e f u e l p r e s s u r e ( s e e p a g e 1 1 - 1 4 4 ) .
D r a i n t h e f u e l t a n k : R e m o v e t h e f u e l p u m p ( s e e p a g e 1 1 - 1 5 3 ) . U s i n g a h a n d p u m p , h o s e , a n d c o n t a i n e r s u i t a b l e f o r
gasoline. draw the fuel from the fuel tank.
Jack up the vehicle, and suppon it with safety stands.
Remove the fuel pipe cover (A). Disconnect the fuel vapor hose and quick-connect fittings.
Disconnect the hoses. Slide back the clamps (B), then twist the hoses as you pull to avoid damaging them.

5. Place a jack or other support under the tank.
6 . R e m o v e t h e s t r a p b o l t s , a n d l e t t h e s t r a p ( C ) h a n g f r e e .
7 . R e m o v e t h e f u e l t a n k ( D ) . l f i t s t i c k s t o t h e u n d e r c o a t o n i t s m o u n t , c a r e f u l l y p r y i t o f f t h e m o u n t
8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
