Throttle Cable Adjustment
1 . Check cable free play at the throttle linkage. Cable
f r e e p f a v ( A ) s h o u l d b e 1 0 1 2 m m ( 3 / 8 1 / 2 i n . ) .
lf the free play is not within spec (10 - 12 mm,
3 1 8 - 1 1 2 l n . l , l o o s e n t h e l o c k n u t ( B ) , t u r n t h e
adjusting nut (C) untilthe free play is as specified,
then retighten the locknut.
With the cable properly adjusted, check the throttle
valve to be sure it opens fully when you push the
accelerator pedal to the floor. Also check the
throttle valve to be sure it returns to the idle
position whenever you release the accelerator
peoar.
