Remove the release fork boot (A)from the clutch

Remove the release fork (C)from the clutch
h o u s i n g ( B ) b y s q u e e z i n g t h e r e l e a s e f o r k s e t s p r i n g
( D ) w i t h p l i e r s . R e m o v e t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g ( E ) .
Check the release bearing for play and noise by
s p i n n i n g i t b y h a n d . l f t h e r e i s e x c e s s i v e p l a y o r
n o i s e , r e p l a c e t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g w i t h a n e w o n e .
NOTE: The release bearing is packed with grease.
Do not wash it in solvent.

4 . Apply super high temp urea grease {P/N 08798-
9002) to the release fork (A), the release fork bolt
( B ) , t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g ( C ) , a n d t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g
g u i d e ( D ) i n t h e s h a d e d a r e a s .

With the release fork slid between the release
b e a r i n g p a w l s . i n s t a l l t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g o n t h e
m a i n s h a f t w h i l e i n s e r t i n g t h e r e l e a s e f o r k t h r o u g h
t h e h o l e i n t h e c l u t c h h o u s i n g .
Align the detent of the release fork with the release
fork bolt, lhen press the release fork over the
r e l e a s e f o r k b o l t s q u a r e l y . M a k e s u r e t h e r e l e a s e
f o r k s e t s p r i n g ( F ) i s p r o p e r l y s e t .
I n s t a l l t h e r e l e a s e f o r k b o o t { E ) . M a k e s u r e t h e b o o t
s e a l s a r o u n d t h e r e l e a s e f o r k a n d c l u t c h h o u s i n g .
Move the release fork (A) right and left to make
s u r e t h a t i t f i t s p r o p e r l y a g a i n s t t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g
( B ) a n d t h a t t h e r e l e a s e b e a r i n g s l i d e s s m o o t h l y .
