PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND
TUNE-UP PROCEDURES
Set the motorcycle on the lateral stand.
Fill the reservoir tank with coolant until latter is
visible through filler hole 010.
Close the radiator and reservoir tank caps se-
curely.
After warming up then cooling down the engi-
ne, check the coolant level of the reservoir
tank.
Top up if necessary.
Total quantity: 1,9 litres including reservoir tank
NOTE:
For coolant information, refer to "COOLING SY-
STEM" section.

DRIVE CHAIN

Inspect at initially 1.000 (or 4 months) and
every 4.000 km (or 8 months). Clean and lu-
bricate every 1.000 km.
Support the motorcycle and turn the rear wheel
slowly by hand with the transmission shifted to
neutral. Visually check the drive chain for the be-
low-listed possible malconditions.
Loose pins
Damaged rollers
Dry or rusted links
Kinked or binding links
Excessive wear
Improper chain adjustment
Missing O-ring seals
If any one of these defects are found, the drive
chain must be replaced.
OPERACIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO
PERIODICO Y DE PUESTA A PUNTO
Poner la motocicleta sobre el caballete lateral.
Llenar el depósito de expansión hasta que se
vea el líquido a través del orificio de llenado.
Apretar a tope el tapón del radiador y del depó-
sito de expansión.
Después de haber calentado el motor, dejarlo
enfriar y controlar otra vez el nivel del líquido
en el depósito de expansión.
Eventualmente llenar hasta el tope.
Cantidad total:
1,9 litros incluído el depósito de expansión
NOTA:
Para informaciones sobre el líquido de refrigera-
ción, hay que referirse a la sección "SISTEMA DE
REFRIGERACION".
CADENA DE TRANSMISION
Controlar después de los primeros 1.000 km
(o 4 meses) y después cada 4.000 km (o 8
meses). Limpiar y lubricar cada 1.000 km.
Sostener la motocicleta, y girar lentamente a ma-
no la rueda trasera con el cambio en punto muerto.
Controlar que visualmente la cadena no presente
ninguno de los defectos indicados más adelante.
Pernos aflojados
Rodillos dañados
Eslabones oxidados o agarrotados
Eslabones deformados o con rebordeados
Desgaste excesivo
Cadena que no se puede regular de manera
correcta
Pérdida de anillos OR
Si la cadena presenta incluso sólo uno de los de-
fectos mencionados, debe ser substituída.
