Loading Documents in the Scanner

This section explains how to load documents into the scanner.
Document scanning is started automatically.
The scanning speed will vary according to the percentage set for enlarging and reducing
images.
The document must be inserted vertically.
There are cases where blank copies will be output when the <Stop Document> key is
pressed during document scanning and when a document is removed mid-way through
scanning.
Long documents up to 15 m can be scanned.
There are cases where scanning will stop if the length of the copy exceeds 15 m for
documents that are longer than 15 m.
Paper jams may occur if pressure is applied to the top of the document or it is pulled
during scanning.
When documents that contain holes are to be loaded, make sure that the area with the
holes is fed in last. Paper jams may occur if the area with the holes is fed in first.
Either automatic scanning or manual scanning can be specified with the Custom
Presets.
