Selecting Media Types

The paper type is set with the use of [Media Type] for the logical printers. This
parameter can be selected from [Any], [Bond], [Vellum], and [Film].
[Any] is set for this under normal circumstances. Specify the paper type manually if the
paper to be used is limited. If any paper other than the specified paper type is placed in
position once this setting has been made, a [No Paper] error will be triggered.

Using Paper Other Than Default Series Paper

The paper size series is set up with the use of [MEDIA SERIES] for the logical printers.
This parameter can be selected from [ISO A Series], [Special A Series], [Arch] and
[ANSI Series].
The [Input size], [Output size] and [Media size] parameters can be set up individually for
each paper group.
[Input size] is the group used when judging the input size.
[Output size] is the group used when judging the output size.
[Media size] is the group used when deciding on the roll media or normal paper that is to
be used for actual printing.
It is necessary to ensure that no mistakes are made when setting up the paper group. For
example, if ISO A series paper is set for [Media size] but ANSI paper is inserted in the
printer, the printer will be unable to recognize the paper type and a [No Paper] error will
be triggered.
