Interruption Copying

It is possible to interrupt continual copying tasks and large output tasks in order to
make urgent copies. The function settings for the copying job in progress are saved
as they are.

Chapter 3 Basic Copy Operations
The following operations are not possible during interruptions.
• Interruptions by other copying jobs.
• <Custom Presets/Meter Check> key operations.
Sorted output and multi-jobs cannot be performed during interruptions.
Press the <Interrupt> key on the control panel.
The [Interrupt] lamp will be illuminated, and the job currently being processed
will be suspended.
The interruption reservation status will be activated if copying for the
interruption job cannot be started immediately.
Set up the percentage, background suppression, image density and all other
required copy methods for the new copying job.
Enter the number of copies (1 to 99) required with the keypad.
Place the document face down and insert it in alignment with the document
insertion guide.
The document will be scanned accordingly.
Refer to "13.1 Documents" in this manual for more details on loading
documents (page 322).
Once the copy has been completed, press the <Interrupt> key again.
The interruption mode will be cancelled and processing for the suspended job
will be restarted.
If you forget to cancel the interruption mode, it will be automatically canceled
after a predetermined period of time has elapsed with no copies being made.
