Timer

This function automatically reduces the amount of power used by the machine and
enters the power saving mode after a preset period of time has elapsed without any
operations being made. The amount of time prior to entering the power saving mode is
set here.

These modes can be cancelled with the following operations.
•
Pressing the <Power Saver> key on the control panel.
•
Transmitting a print job.
•
Pressing the <Power Saver> key on the printer control panel.
Operation Procedure

Select the [Timer] button on the
[Custom Presets – System
Presets] screen.

Select the required mode with the
use of the [ ] and [
and then press the [Open] button.
Reduces the temperature of the fuser. The time to enter into
this mode since the last machine operation can be set within
a range of 1 to 120 minutes. The default setting when
shipped from the factory is 5 minutes.
Reduces the temperature of the fuser even further. The time
to enter into this mode since the last machine operation can
be set within a range of 5 to 120 minutes. The default setting
when shipped from the factory is 15 minutes.
Automatically switches off the power of the printer. The
time to enter into this mode since the last machine operation
can be set within a range of 15 to 120 minutes. The default
setting when shipped from the factory is 90 minutes.
