Chapter 4 Copy Functions
• Use the [Cut & Paste Width] option to suppress the background on a document that
has different background colors or densities. For example, use this option when
several documents with varying backgrounds are pasted onto a single sheet to be
copied. The Cut & Paste Width is the size of the "scanning window" that you select to
scan the entire document for background. If you select 10~19mm, a square
"scanning window" of that size scans the document, square by square, and
suppresses background within each scanned square. If you select too small a Cut and
Paste Width, you may suppress (eliminate) background that is part of the document.
If you select too large a Cut & Past Width, you may not suppress enough
background. Use this option carefully and only in special circumstances when
overall background suppression doesn't work.
