Precautions When Handling Documents
Observe the following precautions when handling documents.
•
There is a chance that the scanning area will become soiled if documents with glue,
adhesive tape, or corrective fluids on them are placed in the copier. Take extreme
caution when using stick-type glue or glue spray.
•
Black lines may appear on copies if the scanning area becomes soiled.
•
When cylindrical originals are to be copied, ensure that the diameter of the cylinder is
40 mm or larger. Cylinders with a diameter of less than 40 mm must be flattened out.
•
The following documents may result in paper jams, white blotches and tearing.
• Heavily wrinkled documents.
• Heavily curled documents.
• Documents that have been perforated, creased or had holes in them.
• Documents to which tape has been applied.
• Documents that are stapled together.
• Documents that contain holes exceeding 25 mm.
• Documents on which there is glue or adhesive tape.
