Configuring GARP
Generic Attribute Registration Protocol (GARP) is a general-purpose protocol that registers any
network connectivity or membership-style information. GARP defines a set of devices interested in
a given network attribute, such as VLAN or multicast address.
To open the GARP page, click Switch→ GARP in the tree view.
Defining GARP Timers
The GARP Timers page contains parameters for enabling GARP on the device. To open the GARP
Timers page, click Switch→ GARP → GARP Timers in the tree view.

The GARP Timers page contains the following fields:
Interface — Determines if enabled on a port or on a LAG.
GARP Join Timer (10 - 2147483640) — Time, in milliseconds, that PDUs are transmitted. The
possible field value is 10-2147483640. The default value is 200 msec.
