E-11 Start Pulses
When starting the engine, the battery voltage drops to a low value for a short
period and then slightly rises again. Most components are activated directly
before starting for a short period, then deactivated during starting and activated
again after starting when the engine is running. This test serves to verify normal
operation under these conditions. The starting process may be performed under
different vehicle starting conditions, cold start and warm start. In order to cover
both cases, two different test sequences are required. A component must always
undergo both sequences.

