Use
INFORMATION
► When transporting the wheelchair in vehicles, fold it up and remove the wheels and leg supports if necessary.
► Follow the IATA (International Air Transport Association) rules and those of the relevant airline when trans­
porting the wheelchair in an aircraft. Inform the airline several days before your flight. Use the SSR (special
service request) codes to describe the type of limited mobility if necessary. You can for example research
these on the Internet.
The wheelchair must be prepared for transport in a passenger vehicle.
1) Remove the footrests (see Page 19).
2) Remove the side panels (removing the side panels).
3) If necessary: Detach the seat cushion from the hook-and-loop fastener.
4) Pull up the seat upholstery until the wheelchair folds together (see fig. 35). Fasten the safety strap (not illus­
trated).
5) For drive wheels with quick-release axle: Remove the drive wheels (see Page 23).
6) Place the disassembled wheelchair in the vehicle (see fig. 36).

► The product has not been approved by the manufacturer for use as a seat in vehicles for transporting persons
with reduced mobility.
► In vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility, only use the seats installed in the vehicle with the
corresponding personal restraint systems.
► Information on the current status of our measures is available from the qualified personnel.
The Centro S1 wheelchair has not been approved by the manufacturer for use as a seat in vehicles for transporting
persons with reduced mobility.

9.16 Care

9.16.1 Cleaning

Clean the product regularly depending on the degree of soiling and frequency of use, at least 1x per month:

9.16.1.1 Cleaning by hand

1) Clean the padding and upholstery with warm water and a mild detergent.
2) Remove any spots with a sponge or a soft brush.
3) Rinse with clear water and let the components dry.
Important information on cleaning
Clean plastic parts, frame parts and the chassis and wheels with a mild cleaner and a damp cloth. Dry thor­
oughly afterwards.
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, solvents or hard brushes etc.
Do not spray the product with a pressure washer.
