Make sure that the setting arrow,

the scale mark on the posi-
tioning aid label (adhesive label
on the guide rail) and the appro-
priate scale mark on the device
body are in alignment. (Fig. 34).
To obtain the greatest reading

accuracy, look straight on. The
read-off value can be falsified by
viewing at an angle from above
or below (parallax error).
