socket and connect a continuity
meter or other suitable test
instrument to the pins of the
switch contact. Note the pin
assignment. For Normally Open
Contact, assign PIN 1 and PIN
2, for Change-Over Contact,
assign PIN 1 and PIN 3.
Loosen the set screws on the

switch contact so that it can
move freely.
Slowly push the switch contact

in the opposite direction of flow
until the contact closes. Now
slowly push the switch contact in
the direction of flow until the
contact opens. Proceed as accu-
rately as possible, as this affects
the measurement accuracy of
the device.

Secure the switch contact with
the set screws, observing the
proper torque (
"Tightening torque" on page 78)
while ensuring that the switch
contact position does not
change. The arrow on the switch
contact label should now be
aligned with the first scale grad-
uation mark on the positioning
aid label (adhesive label on the
guide rail) or, respectively, the
first scale graduation mark on
the scale on the device body. If
this is not the case, the switch
contact label with arrow or the
