For use by authorized service providers.
There is a problem with the +29V Bus.
Attention: AC power must be removed from the system before removing or installing regulator 3.
Perform the following:
1. Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to "Starting point for all problems" on page 2.
This ends the procedure.
2. Perform the following:
a. Remove regulators R01 to R10 (except R3) R11 and R20 from the system unit.
b. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to step 12 (See page 296).
3. Perform the following:
a. Remove one of the AMDs from the system not previously removed during this procedure.
b. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: The AMD you removed in this step is the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
4. Have you removed all of the AMDs one at a time?
v No: Perform the following:
a. Install the AMD that was removed in step 3 (See page 295).
b. Repeat step 3 (See page 295).
v Yes: Install all AMDs and continue with the next step.
5. Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Remove the battery power unit charger.
c. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: The battery power unit charger that you removed in this step is the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
6. Perform the following:
a. Remove all except one of the bulk power supplies from the system.
b. Disconnect all of the disk units and removable media devices by pulling them out of the enclosure
about one inch.
c. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to step 10 (See page 296).
