3. Have all the units in the system become powered on that you expected to become powered on?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to "Starting point for all problems" on page 2 and find the symptom that matches the
problem.

4. Verify the system date and time by doing the following:
a. On the command line, enter the Display System Value command:
DSPSYSVAL QIPLDATTIM
Observe the system value parameters.
Note: The system value parameters are the date and time the system operator requested a timed
IPL.

v Yes: Continue with this step.
v No: Set the correct date by doing the following:
1) On the command line, enter the Change System Value command (CHGSYSVAL QDATE
VALUE('mmddyy')).
2) Set the date by entering
– mm=month
– dd=day
– yy=year
3) Press Enter.
c. On the command line, enter the Display System Value command:
DSPSYSVAL QTIME
Check the system values for the time.
