a. Memory cards if installed. See Locations and addresses.
b. Processor cards if installed. (see Locations and addresses).

6. Is the SRC 1xxx 2602?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform "Power PIP7" on page 166 on the Model 830 processor enclosure (upper).
7. Is the SRC 1xxx 2603?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform one of the following PIPs to isolate the failing item.
– "Power PIP6" on page 160 for FC 5074, FC 5079, FC 5094, FC 5294, or FC 9079
– "Power PIP9" on page 172 for FC 5075 or FC 5095
– "Power PIP8" on page 168 for FC 5088 or FC 0588
8. Is the SRC 1xxx 2604?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform "Power PIP6" on page 160 on the failing frame, or "Power PIP7" on page 166 on the
Model 830 processor enclosure (upper unit) to find failing item.
9. Is the SRC 1xxx 6400 or 6401?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to "Starting point for all problems" on page 2.
This ends the procedure.
10. Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. In a system unit: Exchange the SPCN card (see symbolic FRU "BKSPCN" on page 286).
c. In an expansion unit: Exchange the AC module (see symbolic FRU "ACMODUL" on page 268).
d. Power on the system.
Does the SRC 1xxx 6400 or 6401 continue to be displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: The part that was replaced in this step was the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
11. Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b.
Remove one of the regulators in position R1-R10, R11, R20 and clock card regulator (M19) and
install a new regulator (see Locations and addresses).
c. Power on the system.
Is SRC 1xxx 6400 or 6401 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: The regulator that was removed in this step is the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
12.
the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Remove the new regulator that you just installed, and replace it with the original regulator.
c. Replace another untested regulator with a new regulator.
d. Power on the system.
