v No: Go to "Starting point for all problems" on page 2.

9. Are you working on a unit with a SPD card enclosure with the 2735 card installed correctly?
v No: Exchange the following parts one at a time:
– PCI I/O card - part 45H1235 (see Locations and addresses).
– The cable between the SP/PCI I/O card and the PCI I/O card - part 44H8038. See Locations
and addresses.
– The SP/PCI/ I/O card - part 45H1226. See Locations and Addresses.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: Exchange the following parts one at a time:
– 2735 optical Bus IOP - part 44H7791
– SPD backplane - part 44H7994
This ends the procedure.
10. Is the AC line cord from the FC 7104 power supply to the customer's AC power outlet connected and
seated correctly at both ends?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Connect the AC line cord correctly at both ends.
This ends the procedure.
11. Perform the following:
a. Disconnect the FC 7104 AC line cord from the customer's AC outlet.
b. Use a multimeter to measure the AC voltage at the customer's AC outlet.
Is the AC voltage 100V to 127V or 200V to 240V?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Inform the customer that the AC voltage at the power outlet is not correct. Reconnect the line
cord after the voltage has been corrected.
This ends the procedure.
12. Perform the following:
a. Reconnect the AC line cord to the AC outlet.
b. Disconnect the AC line cord from the FC 7104.
c. Use a multimeter to measure the AC voltage at the end of the line cord.
Is the voltage 100V to 127V or 200V to 240V?
v Yes: Reconnect the line cord to the FC 7104 and perform "Power PIP9" on page 172 on the FC
7104 system unit expansion.
This ends the procedure.
v No: Exchange the failing AC line cord.
This ends the procedure.
