8. Is the SRC 1xxx 840A?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange the System backplane. See symbolic FRU "TWRCARD" on page 470 for the
correct part.

9. Is the SRC 1xxx 840B?
v No: Go to step 14 (See page 481).
v Yes: Are the processor and memory cards removable from the system?
– Yes: Continue with the next step.
– No: Go to step 11 (See page 481).

Perform the following:
a.
Power off the system.
b.
Remove all processor and memory cards from the system.
c.
Power on the system.
Does the SRC 1xxx 840B appear on the panel?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to step 12 (See page 481).

Perform the following:
a.
Power off the system.
b.
Exchange the control panel in the system unit.
c.
Power on the system.
Does the SRC 1xxx 840B appear on the panel?
v Yes: Perform the following:
a.
Power off the system.
b.
Exchange the Tower Card in the system unit. See symbolic FRU "TWRCARD" on page 470.
c.
Install all parts that were removed.
This ends the procedure.
v No: The control panel you replaced in this step is the failing component.
This ends the procedure.
12.
Perform the following:
a.
Power off the system.
b.
Install one of the units removed in step 10 (See page 481).
c.
Power on the system.
Does the SRC 1xxx 840B appear on the panel?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange the last unit you installed in this step it is the failing component.
This ends the procedure.
13.
Have you installed all of the units removed in step 10 (See page 481)?
v No: Repeat step 12 (See page 481).
v Yes: This ends the procedure.
14.
Is the SRC 1xxx 840C?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: The memory module has been misplugged. Reinstall the correct memory module and check
that it is seated correctly. If a problem still exists exchange the Memory Module. See symbolic FRU
"CCIN" on page 303 for the correct part, and Locations and addresses for location information.
This ends the procedure.
