1. Locate the Extended Reference Code in SRC data word 3. This is the first half of the second data
word in control panel function 12:
12
xxxxxxxxEEEExxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
2. For EEEE values in the table below, locate the Additional Reference Code information in SRC data
word 6 (AAAAAAAA). This is the first word in the control panel function 13. If word 7 is non-zero, it is
the DSA of the IOP being used when the error occurred (IIIIIIII). If word 8 is non-zero, it is the device
unit address of the load source device being used when the error occurred (DDDDDDDD). If word 9 is
non-zero, it is the ID of the loadable code unit that was being retrieved from the load source when the
error occurred (LLLLLLLL):
13
AAAAAAAAIIIIIIII
DDDDDDDDLLLLLLLL
Use the following table to determine the recommended service action:
Value for EEEE
2107
2108
2109, 2304
210A

System power control network (SPCN) PIPs

For use by authorized service providers.
This section contains the procedures necessary to isolate a failure in the system power control network
(SPCN).
The C in the SRC (1xxC xxxx) indicates the problem is on the processor side. Any value other than C
indicates the problem is not on the processor side.
The following safety notices apply throughout this section.
Recommended service action:
No IOP was found on bus 1.
If word 7 of function 13 contains a valid DSA, it means
that the IOP at that address is no longer responding to
commands. Use symbolic FRU "IPLINTF" on page 350 to
fix the problem.
A command to the IOP at DSA IIIIIIII timed out. It is not
known whether the timeout was due to a problem with the
IOP, with the storage IOA, with the load source device
unit, or with the device interface. Use symbolic FRU
"IPLINTF" on page 350 to fix the problem, but do not
replace the HSL I/O bridge card.
Load source interface error.
The service processor encountered a problem while trying
to communicate with the IOP at DSA IIIIIIII. The problem
may be caused by another device on bus 1. Isolate a
problem on that device interface. Use symbolic FRU
"IPLINTF" on page 350 to fix the problem, but do not
replace the HSL I/O bridge card.
Load source interface error.
The service processor encountered a PCI bus error while
attempting a transfer of data to mainstore. Check the
FRUs in the path to the mainstore. Use symbolic FRU
"BUS1" on page 289 to fix the problem, going directly to
the step for the system model you are working on.
