Is the SRC 1xxx 2600 or 2601?
Yes: Continue with the next step.
v
No: Go to step 3 (See page 411).

2.
Perform the following:
a.
Power off the frame.
b.
Check that the tower card is connected and seated properly. See symbolic FRU "TWRCARD" on
page 470.
c.
Check that the power supplies are connected and seated properly. See symbolic FRU "PWRSPLY"
on page 431.
d.
Power on the frame.
Is there an SRC 1xxx 2600 or 2601?
No: Continue with the next step.
v
Yes: Exchange the following FRUs one at a time. Refer to Locations and addresses for the model
v
you are working on.
Tower card. See symbolic FRU "TWRCARD" on page 470.
Power supplies. See symbolic FRU "PWRSPLY" on page 431.
Memory cards if installed.
Processor cards if installed.
Backplane. See symbolic FRU "BACKPLN" on page 284.
This ends the procedure.
3. Is the SRC 1xxx 2602?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform "Power PIP9" on page 172 on Models 800 and 810.
4. Is the SRC 1xxx 2603?
No: Continue with the next step.
v
Yes: Perform the following to isolate the failing item.
v
a. Try to IPL the system. If you cannot IPL and the SRC persists, then the configuration ID may not
be accurate. When you set the system or frame ID, the system unit or frame must be powered
off and have ac power applied.
b. Verify that all frame power cords are still plugged in.
c. Check the frame configuration ID:
1) Select function 07 on the system control panel. Press Enter (07** will be displayed).
2) Use the arrow keys to increment/decrement to subfunction A8. 07A8 will be displayed. Press
Enter (08A8 00 will be displayed).
Note: The display on the addressed non-system unit frame should be blinking on and off.
For a system unit, press an arrow key (increment or decrement) twice to display the ID (first
07** will be displayed then 07nn will be displayed, where nn is the Configuration ID).
3) Choose the correct configuration:
– 89 for an FC 5088, FC 0588
– 8A for an FC 5094, FC 5294, or FC 8094-002
– 8B for an FC 5095, FC 0595
– 91 for a Model 810 without FC 7116 system expansion unit, without a removable
processor.
– 92 for a Model 810 without FC 7116 system expansion unit, with a removable processor.
– 95 for Models 800 and 810 with an FC 7116 expansion unit
– 96 for Models 800 and 810 with FC 7116 system expansion unit, with a removable
processor.
