TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS
Item
The monitor will run whenever this DTC is
not present
Case 1 (Output voltage (Crack)):
Vehicle speed
Idle
Fuel cut
Time after fuel cut is turned from ON to
OFF
Intake air amount per revolution
Case 2 (Output voltage):
All of the following conditions are met:
1. Pass/fail detection in this driving cycle
2. Engine
3. Time after engine start
4. Either of the following conditions is met:
(a) Cumulative time while heated oxygen
sensor heater is ON
(b) Heated oxygen sensor voltage
Case 3 (Slow response):
Rear oxygen sensor voltage before the
fuel cut
Catalyst condition
Engine coolant temperature
Fuel cut
Pass/fail detection in this driving cycle
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
Detection Criteria
Case 1 (Output voltage (Crack)):
All of the following conditions are met:
1. Cumulative heated oxygen sensor monitor time
2. Time while heated oxygen sensor voltage is less than
0.05V
3. Maximum heated oxygen sensor rich time (0.45V or
more)
Case 2 (Output voltage):
Number of heated oxygen sensor voltage "switching"
"Switching" is counted when the sensor signal crosses the minimum or maximum voltage

Case 3 (Slow response):
Time until the rear oxygen sensor voltage drops to 0.2 V
after fuel cut starts operating
