1 Check throttle position sensor.

2 Check for open and short in harness and connector between ECM and throttle
position sensor (See page IN−30).

Disconnect the T1 throttle position sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between the terminals of the
throttle position sensor.
Throttle Valve
Replace throttle position sensor.
Repair or replace harness or connector.

Specified Condition
⎯ 2.5 to 5.9 kΩ
Fully closed 0.2 to 5.7 kΩ
Fully open 2.0 to 10.2 kΩ
