TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
Detection Criteria
P0456 (0.02 inch leak):
Both of the following conditios are met:
1. Fuel tank pressure change for 5 sec. when fuel tank pres-
sure is at −2.0 kPa (−15 mmHg) point
2. Fuel tank pressure change for 5 sec. when fuel tank pres-
sure is at −2.7 kPa (−20 mmHg) point
P0442 (0.040 inch leak):
Both of the following conditios are met:
1. Fuel tank pressure change for 5 sec. when fuel tank pres-
sure is at −2.0 kPa (−15 mmHg) point
2. Fuel tank pressure change for 5 sec. when fuel tank pres-
sure is at −2.7 kPa (−20 mmHg) point
MONITOR RESULT
Refer to page DI−3 for detailed information.
The test value and test limit information are described as shown in the following table. Check the monitor
result and test values after performing the monitor drive pattern (see page DI−3).
TID (Test Identification Data) is assigned to each emissions−related component.
S
TLT (Test Limit Type):
S
If TLT is 0, the component is malfunctioning when the test value is higher than the test limit.
If TLT is 1, the component is malfunctioning when the test value is lower than the test limit.
CID (Component Identification Data) is assigned to each test value.
S
Unit Conversion is used to calculate the test value indicated on generic OBD ll scan tools.
