Check if DTC output reoccurs.
PREPARATION:
(a)
Clear the DTCs.
Operate the OBD II scan tool to erase the codes, or disconnect the battery terminal or remove the EFI
fuse for more than 60 seconds.
(b)
Start and warm up the engine.
(c)
Drive the vehicle around for 10 minutes or more.
CHECK:
Read output DTCs using the OBD II scan tool.
OK:
No DTC output.

Check oil control valve filter.
OK

Check OCV (See page SF−54).
NG

Replace OCV (See page EM−44).

VVT system OK*
*: DTCs P0011 and P0012 are output when a foreign object in
the engine oil enters the system. These codes will stay even if
the system returns to normal after a short time. Foreign objects
are filtered out by the oil filter.
NG
Replace oil control valve filter.
OK
Go to step 7.
