Check operation of OCV.
PREPARATION:
(a)
Connect the hand−held tester to the DLC3.
(b)
Start the engine and warm it up.
(c)
Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand−held tester main switch ON.
(d)
Enter the following menus: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / ACTIVE TEST / VVT CTRL B1.
CHECK:
Check the engine speed when operating the OCV by the hand−held tester.
OK:
Tester Operation
OCV is OFF
OCV is ON
OK

Check if DTC output reoccurs.
PREPARATION:
(a)
Clear the DTCs.
(1)
Operating the hand−held tool to erase the codes, or disconnect the battery terminal or remove
the EFI fuse for more than 60 seconds.
(b)
Start and warm up the engine.
(c)
Drive the vehicle around for 10 minutes or more.
CHECK:
Read output DTCs using the hand−held tool.
OK:
No DTC output.

Go to step 4.

VVT system OK*
*: DTCs P0011 and P0012 are output when a foreign object in
the engine oil enters the system. These codes will stay even if
the system returns to normal after a short time. Foreign objects
are filtered out by the oil filter.
