In the device group that does not become an element of copy a group,
the same device name can be used in the same device group.
In the device group that becomes an element of a copy group, a device
group name must be unique in the device group. It is because a pair is
created between LDEVs that have same device names in respective
primary and secondary volumes at the group operation of a replication
series command.
Notes when specifying a device group name
The length of a device group name must be up to 32 characters.
A device group name must be unique within the storage system. The
device group name cannot be duplicated in one storage system.
When a device group name is specified by the raidcom command option
and an LDEV to operate is specified by the device name, all devices that
have the same name with the beginning of the specified name will be
operated.
The contents of the following operations that can be executed for a device
group are expressed hereafter with its use cases.
