System configuration for connecting to a CCI server connected by
the in-band method using the out-of-band method
In the out-of-band method, CCI server ports can be specified as virtual
command devices. Specifying a CCI server port as a virtual command device
allows you to use the out-of-band method to connect to a CCI server
connected to a storage system using the in-band method. For details about
settings for HORCM_CMD in the configuration definition file of this
configuration, see
Tip: If you specify a CCI server port as a virtual command device, it achieves
better performance than the out-of-band method which specifies SVP or GUM
as a virtual command device.
The following figure shows a system configuration example when a CCI server
is connected to a storage system using the in-band method.
