Patching  Port-to-port
Port-to-port
The Port-to-port function enables you to directly patch from an RPio's input port to an RPio's output
port via the TWINLANe network, without routing the signal through mixing channels.
Port-to-port patching
1.
Press the PATCH button on the menu bar to access the PATCH screen.

Press the PORT-TO-PORT tab to access the PORT-TO-PORT patch window.

1 Input components/slots/channels
This section indicates the type of the input component, slot number, and channel number for
the input port.
The abbreviations displayed in this section have the following meaning.
• M1–M8 ...........................I/O rack 1–8

2 Continuous patch button
Press the continuous patch button, and then rotate the select knob in the upper right to
patch the intersecting channels continuously.
If you press the continuous patch button, the

3 Output components/slots/channels
This section indicates the type of the output component, slot number, and channel number for
the output port.
4 Grid
This grid lets you patch output jacks (horizontal lines) to input jacks (vertical columns).
Currently-patched cells in the grid are indicated by white squares. Press or click a desired cell
to set or disable the patch.
5 CLEAR ALL button
Press this button to clear all selections.

Use the knob in the lower left to display the desired input ports.

Use the knob in the upper right to display the desired output ports.

Press a grid cell to patch the corresponding channel.
NOTE
The Port-to-port patch setting will not be included in a scene nor overwritten by scene recall.
Also, you can graphically patch the output ports (that have been patched Port-to-port) on the
OUTPUT/DIRECT OUT patch screens. However, the audio will not be output. On these patch
screens, the number of output ports that have been patched Port-to-port will be displayed in red.
