8. E-mail

The e-mail program is used to communicate with others using the
Internet. In order to use the e-mail program, you must have your own e-
mail account, which has been provided to you by your Internet service
provider.
The e-mail account that you have should support POP3 (Post Office
Protocol 3) and SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). You should
check with your Internet service provider to make sure that your provider
supports POP3 and SMTP.
Before you use the e-mail program, you will need to setup the Braille
Sense U2 to use the Internet, which is in the "Utilities" menu.
In order to set the "Internet", follow these steps:
1) Press "Enter" on the "Utilities" program.
2) Move to "Internet setup" and Press "Enter". Or press "I(dots 2-4)".
3) In "Setup internet," you will find "LAN," "Wireless LAN", "Modem,"
"ADSL," and "Bluetooth DUN".
4) You can move between the items by pressing "Space-4" or
"Space-1."
5) Press "Enter" on the item that you want to connect.
6) Connect to Internet through setting proceed.
When checking the "inbox" in the email program, the menus are different
from the menus that are used when you are writing an email. You should
read this chapter carefully, before you use the e-mail program on the
Braille Sense U2.
