DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)

CHECK ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.

CHECK AIR ASSIST INJECTOR SOLENOID
VALVE OPERATION.
1)Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2)Connect the test mode connector at the
lower portion of instrument panel (on the
driver's side), to the side of the center console
box.
3)Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4)Operate the air assist injector solenoid valve
NOTE:
Air assist injector solenoid valve operation car
also be executed using Subaru Select Monitor
For the procedure, refer to the "Compulsorq
Valve Operation Check Mode". <Ref. tc

Use your mouth to blow through the air by-
pass hose to make sure that there is a smooth
air flow (no clogging).
1)Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2)Remove the fuel injector. <Ref. to
FU(S0HC)-38, REMOVAL, Fuel Injector.>
3)Check for clogged fuel injectors.
3 CHECK AIR BY-PASS HOSES.

CHECK FUEL INJECTOR.
Check
Is there any other DTC on dis-
play?
Does the air assist injector
solenoid valve operating
sound?
Is the air by-pass hose dam-
aged?
Is the fuel injector clogged?
Yes
