Setting the Time, Date, and Time Zone

To set the Time, Date, and Time Zone:
1. On the Maintenance Web pages, under Server, select Server Date/Time.

2. Set the media server's time close enough to the Network Time Server's (NTS's) time, date,
and time zone that synchronization can occur (within about 5 minutes of the NTS time).

CAUTION:
If you are installing an LSP, you must set the time of the LSP to the same time
CAUTION:
zone as the primary controller even if the LSP is physically located in a different
time zone.

Configuring network parameters

Note:
For this procedure, you must have the host name, subnet mask, and IP address
Note:
of the S8300, and the IP address of the default gateway.
You must configure the network parameters on the S8300 before restoring the backup files.
These network parameters are necessary to allow the media server to reach the FTP backup
server over the network.
