FRONT SUSPENSION
SERVICE POINT OF REMOVAL
4. REMOVAL OF LOWER ARM BALL JOINT
Using the special tool, disconnect the knuckle from the
lower arm ball joint.
NOTE
(2) Suspend the special tool with a rope to prevent it from

Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.

Check the lower arm for bend or breakage.

Check the clamp for deterioration or damage.

Check the ball joint dust shield for cracks.
l
Standard value: 10 - 22 Nm (86 - 191 in.lbs.)

(2) Apply multipurpose grease to the lip and inside of the dust

(3) Drive in the dust shield with special tool until it is fully

SERVICE POINT OF INSTALLATION
SELF-LOCKING NUT
Place the lower arm bushing bracket so that its mounting
surface tilts 6" + 1" with respect to the bottom surface of
the lower arm; then, mount the self-locking nut.
