ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM
INVESTIGATION OF FAULTS

The starter motor not turn.

• Check if the main fuse (20) or the auxillary fuse (15) is burned. • Make sure
that the battery is fully charged and in good condition.
Inspect the cable from the battery with
regard to circuit interrupted or contact
inadequate.

Inspect the terminals and connectors

loose connections or contact inadequate.

Inspect the motor cable start with regard to
circuit interrupted or contact inadequate.

Check the functioning of magnetic switch
start with the power switch activated (ON
position). When pressed, the button breaker
start shall issue a characteristic sound ( click
).

Inspect the circuit of earth of the coil of mag-
netic switch start with regard to continuity
(page 18-10).

battery.
•Circuit interrupted in the cable from
the battery.
• Contact inadequate terminals or
connectors.
•Inappropriate Contact motor cable to start.
•Circuit interrupted in the cable from starter
motor.
Connect the terminal starter motor directly in
the positive (+) terminal of the battery. (Due
to the large amount of current flow, do not
use a cable too fine.)
