INVESTIGATION OF FAULTS

Battery damaged or with insufficient charge

Remove the battery (page 16-4). Check
the conditions of the battery, using
the tester recommended.
Install the battery (page 16-4). Check the
leakage of the battery (Proof of leakage:
page 16-6).
Leakage specified: 0,1 mA max
Check the coil of charging the alternator
(page 16-8).
Measure and enter the voltage of the
battery, using a multitester digital (page
16-5). Activate the engine. Measure the
voltage of charging the battery (page
16-6). Compare the measurements to the
result of following calculation.
Battery Voltage measure < Voltage of
charging the battery < 15,5 V
Measure and enter the voltage of the battery, using a multitester digital
(page 16-5). Activates the engine. Measure the voltage of charging the
battery (page 16-6). Compare the measurements to the result of follow-
ing calculation.

BATTERY/CHARGING SYSTEM
• Battery fault.
Disconnect the connector 5P regulator/ rec-
tifier and verify again the leakage of the
battery.
Incorrect
• Wiring in short circuit. • Regulator / rectifier
• Switch power with
fault.
• Coil of burden with fault.
• Battery fault.
