MPS System Checklist and Report

Unpack And Inventory Order

• □ Check that all packages have arrived as per the shipping list.
If parts or pieces are missing, stop and notify your immediate supervisor.
• □ Inspect all packages for external damage.
If there is damage, stop and notify your immediate supervisor.
• □ Open the OPEN ME FIRST envelope and verify the configuration of the system.
• □ Unpack the system console, keyboard, and mouse.
• □ Unpack all cables.
• □ Remove all shipping brackets and shipping screws.
• □ Conduct an inventory of received items against those listed in the SPD.
• □ Unpack the application processor. Ground yourself. Then open the application processor and
ensure that the memory, CPUs, drives, cards, and EEPROM are properly seated. Also make
sure all the securing screws are in place.

System Setup

• Check that all TMS are properly seated and secure.
• Connect and secure the internal LAN cables as per the SDP LAN diagram. Do not connect the
customer-provided LAN cables at this time. (The addresses on the application processor have
not been configured yet.)
• Connect, secure, and label the console, keyboard, and mouse cables, if any.
• Check and measure that the customer-supplied power is the correct voltage and polarity.
(Use a volt-ohmmeter. Note the voltage below for AC systems.) This must be performed prior
to any equipment being plugged into the outlets or powered up.
- GROUND TO NEUTRAL VOLTS
- GROUND TO LINE VOLTS
- LINE TO NEUTRAL VOLTS
Notify the customer of any discrepancies.
